Competitive seasons are aligned on the calendar to create a full slate of professional leagues and unique tournaments around the world. After a season of weekly league battles and high profile special events, top teams from every region come together in the fall for the most prestigious live event in battle royale esports: the PUBG Global Championship.
All PUBG Esports competitions are governed by SUPER (Standard and Universal PUBG Esports Ruleset). Professional matches pit 16 squads of four players against each other on Erangel and Miramar in first-person perspective mode only.
The seasonal narrative is built on regional circuits and weekly pro leagues with regularly scheduled international gatherings throughout the year. Players and fans have to stay sharp as the tension rises on the road to the PUBG Global Championship.
The 2019 season will be divided into three phases. Phase 1 runs from late January through March; Phase 2 begins in early May and concludes in June; and Phase 3 starts in mid-August and continues to mid-October.
After each of the first two phases, top teams will travel to special global or multi-regional events to test themselves against the world’s best. In August, the most popular players in PUBG esports will assemble for a thrilling celebration of skill and community.
